What's in 1-12-22


It's a project to learn character animator setup in as close to a "live" working environment as possible.

Since fishnet is the new thing I am trying that too.

I'll put a feature list so i can start doing devlogs.

  • Pretty standard but solidly implemented and good feeling character controller
  • Animated third person character with a bunch of layering, dynamic reparenting of props, jiggle bones etc.
  • Rudimentary "inventory" which should be pretty expansible to let people pick their weapons.
  • Beginnings of first person shooting. It will be weapon offscreen unless you're actually aiming and shooting.
  • Proof of concept demo of sprite-based ironsights. Looks pretty fine.
  • Openable/closable door.
  • All of this so far works over the network so it could be something fun fairly soon.
